The Bill (Reg. No. 1452) envisages State aid for the families that adopted an orphan or a child deprived of paternal care.
Inter alia, the Bill establishes a one-time grant by child´s adoption and a monthly aid for an adopted child till its full age in the amount of legally defined living wage for a child of relevant age.
The amendments to the Law "On Vacations" envisage social leave of 90 calendar days for one of the adopters for care of the adopted child, provided an appeal for the said leave was submitted not later than three months after the resolution on child´s adoption became effective.
The Committee members upheld the legislative initiative of the President of Ukraine. They also deem necessary to enhance public control over use of funds and over conditions of child´s stay in a new family.
