The Convention (Reg. No.0006) is applicable to the hired drivers who are either employed at enterprises that perform freightage for the third parties, or at the enterprises that transport freight or passengers at their own expense on the vehicles used professionally for domestic or international motor transportation of freight or passengers.
Inter alia, the Convention stipulates that no driver is allowed to drive for more than four hours without a break; maximum duration of driving, including overtime, can not exceed 9 hours a day or 48 hours a week, etc.
