The Bill (Reg. No.1061-5), submitted by the President of Ukraine, increases the rates of penalties for traffic safety infringements. Pursuant to the Bill, "the average penalty for an infringement will amount 85-100 Hryvnias".
The Bill extends liability for committing gross violations of the Traffic Regulations.
The Bill stipulates that penalties for most violations of Traffic Regulations are to be imposed by the State Road Inspection officials of particular ranks, namely traffic regulation officers and managers of the State Road Inspection subdivisions.
Penalties for gross and regular violations of the Traffic Regulations in the form of driving ban or heavy fine are to be imposed only by court.
