The Committee on National Security and Defence recommends that The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts as a basis the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Military Duty and Military Service" (re Gradation of Military Ranks of Senior Officers)
The Bill provides more distinct gradation of military ranks of senior officers. Under conditions of development of efficient management system and functional organization of troops (forces), the said gradation will promote realization of basic principles of HR policy in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the Armed Forces experience complete transition to a contract-based military service, the said HR policy aims at obtainment of better level of personnel provision.
The representatives of the General Headquarters and the Ministry of Defense endorsed adoption of the Bill.
