The Committee on Social Policy and Labour upholds the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On the State Budget of Ukraine for Year 2008 and Amendments to several Legislative Acts" (re Restoration of Social Security Safeguards by Establishment of a Living Wage)

The Bill (Reg. No.2094-1) excludes Part 21 from Chapter 2 of the Law "On the State Budget of Ukraine for Year 2008 and Amendments to several Legislative Acts". The said Part excluded the regulation regarding increase of a living wage by a rate of individual income tax for persons subject to compulsory social insurance from the Law "On Living Wage".

The authors of the Bill deem necessary to adopt it in order to restore social security safeguards by establishment of a living wage. This will secure complete realization of requirements of Article 22 of the Constitution of Ukraine as regards prevention of any restriction of citizens´ rights.
