PLENARY MEETING OF THE SECOND SESSION OF THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF THE SIXTH CONVOCATION WAS HELD ON FRIDAY, 18 APRIL
At the beginning of the meeting, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, announced appeals of the Deputies.
A.Yatseniuk reported on Parliament´s work. Thus, The Verkhovna Rada adopted 35 Laws, ratified the Protocol on Ukraine´s accession to the WTO, and adopted a number of social Laws. The Parliament scrutinized 174 issues in total.
Due to the appeal of V.Lytvyn, Chairman of The Lytvyn Bloc Faction, the Chair brought forward the Draft Resolution on Conditions, Actions and Prospects of Overcoming Chornobyl Disaster Aftermath.
The Draft Resolution was adopted as a Basis by 446 votes.
Then the Draft Resolution on Conditions, Actions and Prospects of Overcoming Chornobyl Disaster Aftermath was adopted in its entirety.
However, the People´s Deputies failed to scrutinize social Bills, and the Chairman declared the meeting closed due to the decision of the leaders of the factions.
