The Bill (Reg. No.1338) introduces amendments to Articles 181-1, 218 and 222 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements, which authorizes bodies in charge of internal affairs (the police) to scrutinize the cases on administrative infringements for engagement in prostitution. Moreover, the Bill also increases rates of penalties for engagement in prostitution.
The said motion was introduced due to the low efficiency of activity of administrative commissions in charge of cases that belong to the said group.
The Committee upheld the Bill, since its adoption will establish inevitable liability for administrative infringements, and will fight crimes in the field of public morality.
