The Bill (Reg. No.2259) establishes new dues at the rate of 1 per cent of a taxable object for development of cinematography. Thus the Bill aims at attraction of extra funds in the said field for support of production and distribution of national films.
The People´s Deputies deem necessary to create favourable conditions for development of national cinematography and overcoming its crisis.
Pursuant to the Bill, "the procedure of collecting dues and liability for violating the said procedure will be defined in compliance with the effective Law "On the Taxation System".
The Committee believes that establishment of dues for development of cinematography will considerably improve the situation concerning production, distribution and showing of national films in the cinemas, video-networks and on the TV channels.
