The Committee on Social Policy and Labour recommends that The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine rejects the Bill on Amendments to Article 73 of the Code of Laws on Labour of Ukraine

The Bill (Reg. No.2157) was submitted by the President of Ukraine, and qualified as an urgent and subject for immediate parliamentary consideration.

The Bill supplements Part 1 of Article 73 of the Code that defines holidays and non-working days with 1 day, namely, 22 January - Ukraine's Reunion Day, and excludes 2 May the International Day of Workers´ Solidarity, from the list of non-working days.

The People´s Deputies believe that adoption of such decisions should be coordinated with the public needs.
