The Bill (Reg. No.1300) defines basic principles of State policy concerning regulation of sugar and sugar beet market, regime of State deposit purchase of sugar, formation of State sugar ration reserve, Government agrarian intervention for securing adequate level of food safety, and forms of State support of scientific and innovation activity in sugar-beet complex, etc.
The Bill regulates supervision over adherence to the specifications of sugar production by sugar refineries. However, the People´s Deputies stated that the said regulations fail to comply with the Laws "On the Police", and "On the State Tax Service in Ukraine", which define main tasks of the bodies in charge of internal affairs and of the State Tax Service.
Therefore, the Committee recommends that the subject of legislative initiative further elaborates the Bill, taking into account introduced remarks and motions.
