On Tuesday, 22 April, within the scope of a two-day official visit to the Republic of Portugal, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met Manuel Pinho, Minister for Economy of the Portuguese Republic.
The Parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the power economy.
The Parties also resolved to set up a new inter-governmental Ukrainian-Portuguese commission in charge of power economy and introduction of new investment projects.
Before the meeting with the Minister for Economy, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine had the official breakfast with the representatives of the business groups of Portugal.
On Tuesday, 22 April, within the scope of a two-day official visit to the Republic of Portugal, Arseniy Yatseniuk also attended a joint meeting of the Committee on European Affairs, and the Committee on Defence of Portuguese Republic, and the Parliamentary Group of Friendship "Portugal-Ukraine".
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will also meet leaders and activists of Ukrainian community organizations in the Republic of Portugal in order to discuss the issues concerning residence of Ukrainian community in Portugal (Ukrainian community in Portugal is the largest among the EU member countries).
