The meeting was attended by the People´s Deputies, the experts, the representatives of the central authorities, Ukrainian associations of trade unions and employers, and employment agencies.
The participants of "the Round Table" commented upon the components of the national labour market, and the factors that have a negative impact on its development. Inter alia, the reporters stated that Ukrainian enterprises lack for qualified personnel. The lack of skilled workers constitutes another urgent issue.
The reporters also underscored that the system of professional education fails to meet the need of industry and service sector in skilled personnel.
The participants of "the Round Table" recommend that the Government ratifies the Procedure of Formation and Distribution of the State Order for Training of Specialists, Scientific and Educational Personnel and Skilled Workers for the State Needs, and Control over its Realization, as well as the Concept of the State System of Public Carrier Guidance.
Relevant recommendations have been forwarded to the Ministries of Labour and Social Policy, the Ministry of Economy, other central and local authorities.
