The Committee members discussed a report of Yu. Chebotarenko, Head of the State Service for Special Communications and Protection of Information, and commented upon the issues that complicate realization of duties imposed on the State Service.
Inter alia, the People´s Deputies stated the following: "Actions taken by the State Service create normative and technological grounds for enhancement of the system of information exchange safety provision, which is aimed at protection of information and proper operating of the information protection system".
On the whole, due to the state of financial, personnel, and material and technical provision, the State Service for Special Communications can perform its activity in compliance with the Law of Ukraine "On the State Service for Special Communications and Protection of Information".
However, the Law "On the Disciplinary Statute of the State Service for Special Communications and Protection of Information" has not come into force yet. The said Law determines the essence of official discipline, relevant duties of the personnel and managers, types of rewards and chastisements, rights of managers concerning their infliction.
