The program of the working visit includes meetings in the House of Commons and the Senate of the Parliament of Canada at the level of Committees, and also with the initiative group of friendship with Ukraine, which will be coordinated by MP Borys Wrzesnewskyj. Also, the First Deputy Chairperson will meet with Chairperson of the Committee on International Affairs of the Senate - Senator Raynell Andreychuk and leaders of the Ukrainian community of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress (Paul M. Grod) and the League of Ukrainian Canadians (Orest Steciw).
On Monday, February 22, A.Parubii is expected to deliver a speech at the Munk School of Global Affairs, the University of Toronto.
The visit to Washington is aimed at discussing projects of parliamentary cooperation, issues of national security and assistance to Ukraine. Planned are the meetings with the Group of Friendship with Ukraine in the House of Representatives (Congressmen Levin and Kaptur) and the Senate of the U.S. Congress, as well as with government officials and leaders of the Ukrainian community of the United States.
The First Deputy Chairperson plans to participate in closed workshops at leading think tanks, and also appear at the conference "Assessment of Russian policy in the "near abroad": Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Baltic countries, Canada, Scandinavia."
