During the meeting held today, the parties discussed the situation in Ukraine, especially in the east of our country, and the situation with ensuring the human rights and freedoms in Ukraine.
In this connection, Fiona Frazer familiarized Hryhorii Nemyria with current results of the monitoring of the human rights situation in Ukraine.
They also discussed the regulatory framework in this area, in particular existing gaps and conflicting provisions, and registered draft laws.
In addition, the Chairperson of the Committee notified of scheduled for February 17 parliamentary hearing on the topic "The situation with ensuring the rights of internally displaced persons and citizens of Ukraine residing in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and in the territory not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities in the area of ??anti-terrorist operation."
