Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman hopes that the European Union will soon take the decision on the liberalization of the visa regime for Ukraine.
Recently, the Verkhovna Rada took all the decisions required for the introduction of visa-free regime with the EU member countries. "Limiting Ukraine as a European country with visas is a tale of the soviet past. And we do believe that this year we will receive clear decision touching the introduction of the visa-free regime," he said, having expressed confidence that the decision would become another step making Ukraine closer to the family of the European peoples.
Opening the meeting of the Council of Presidents initiated by the youth of the European People's Party and dedicated to the second anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity, Groysman said that further integration with the European Union was extremely important for Ukraine. "We are grateful to our partners for the ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union. In fact we have the action plan able to allow us to move forward," he said.
