Economy revival must be a national priority for 2016, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman said at a press conference on Friday.

According to him, very important is the reform of education, health, "performance of the social contract to the Ukrainian people" in terms of pensions and wages, and support for vulnerable groups. "However, the basis, the foundation is the economy, said Groysman. This implies creation of new companies, new jobs, a system that will be able to attract investment into the country."

Groysman said that the Parliament and he as its leader will do everything to be a reliable partner of the Government in the course of implementation of tasks associated with revival of the national economy. "It is very important for us to offer Ukraine, society, and business the economic model, that will ensure the economic growth," he stressed.

Groysman also stressed the importance of adopting a new law on civil service. "A professional civil service can adequately and professionally meet the challenges faced by society and the State. I do not believe that amateurs who come to power can govern the country effectively at any level, he said. It is very important that the Parliament completed the reform of the public service. "

"We have a basic law, and I hope that the next plenary Tuesday this law will be adopted, that will provide a new quality of the country management system, noted the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada. Effective public management, economy development, and effective fight against corruption will pull us out of the crisis in which we still are today." "Formation of a serious system of country governance by professional people is an important priority," he added.

Another priority, according to Groysman, is the further "strengthening of institutions fighting the corruption," and the rule of law. "The judicial system must be adequate to the tasks faced by it, said the head of the Parliament. That is why one of the priorities for next year is to create a system that would allow to "reset" the judiciary branch of power, to gain an adequate confidence and to assert the rule of law."

The priority tasks facing the Parliament, according to Groysman, include the reform of the educational sphere, "social contract performance, allowing the people to survive the hard times."

"I am convinced that we will find the opportunity to interact with the Government and the President in order to build such an effective model," said Groysman.

"We shall ensure our true European future, provide the people with a sense of justice in our country and undoubtedly do everything that every citizen of Ukraine felt worthy," said Groysman.
