Dear compatriots,
Today we commemorate victims of the Holodomor [a man-made famine in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1932 and 1933 that killed an estimated 2.5–7.5 million Ukrainians].
Our life is the greatest value in the civilized world and any infringement on life does not have any excuse.
I would like to call on all Ukrainian citizens to join the nationwide minute's silence. Human grief, mercy and compassion do not have national, political or religious features.
Let the Ukrainians not know what a famine is ever again.
Let the memory of innocent victims live forever!
