Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman has said that Ukraine needs fiscal reform to facilitate the development of small and mid-sized business.

Answering respective question of the Era Radio station on Wednesday, Groysman expressed confidence that the tax reform has to stop "permanent milking" of business through different control bodies.

"Any termination of smuggling would allow raising domestic market and production. We have to have founded tax rates for the business to pay. We also have to impose at least 5-year moratorium on any changes in the system to gain trust in it," he said. "We have to focus on creation of jobs now," he added.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said that small and mid-sized business should be the driver of Ukrainian economy. At the same time, he said that in Ukraine "only 12-14% are small and mid-sized business and the rest is big business" concentrated in hands of certain people.

Groysman expressed confidence that the development of economy is possible in case "there is clear system in which people are not afraid to invest to business." "Today it is possible with assistance and non-interference of the state itself," he said.
