Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman is confident that the Ukrainian Parliament will adopt decentralization amendments into the Constitution of Ukraine before the start of local election scheduled for autumn this year.

"I believe that the chances from the point of view of the procedure make up 100%," Groysman told the Pravo na Vladu [Right to Power] TV show on 1+1 TV channel on Thursday.

Today, he said "we already have minimum package of amendments, which will allow to launch real reformation mechanism, while the issues requiring additional studying will further be adapted."

Groysman reminded that on June 26, the draft law on introduction of amendments into the Basic Law will be eyed at the meeting of the Constitutional Commission and submitted for consideration of the President of Ukraine.

The Head of the Verkhovna Rada also noted that "over the last year, we have done to decentralize the power more than it was done over the previous 24 years."
