Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman does not rule out prolongation of the second session of the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation.

"In compliance with the calendar plan, current session will have to end in July, however, we do understand that we have to prolong it to enable the Parliament to work effectively during this period," Groysman said opening the Monday meeting of the Conciliatory Council.

Groysman also said that after the meeting of the Council, heads of parliamentary factions will meet with representatives of trade unions. "I have received a letter we had to discuss, I think it would be a very positive meeting to understand the position of trade unions," he said. He called on Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk to attend this meeting and urged the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat to prepare the meeting.
