First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Andrii Parubii emphasizes that Ukraine highly appreciates efforts taken by France to regulate the conflict in the east of our state.
Parubii said this during his meeting with the delegation of the France-Ukraine friendship group of the Senate of the French Republic on Friday, June 5.
The delegation was headed by Herve Morey.
In turn, Herve Morey thanked for an opportunity to conduct such a visit and informed that its major goal is to develop exchange of experience in decentralization of power.
Parubii said Ukraine is interested in Europe's understanding of what is really happening in Ukraine.
He also thanked for support in elaboration and holding of decentralization reform, having noted that "this reform is big, enormous," and it requires new election law.
The parties exchanged opinions as to the elaboration of constitutional amendments in a part of reformation of local self-government.
