The elaboration of the military-medical doctrine should become one of the top-priorities of Ukraine policy.
This was said by Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oksana Syroid at the opening of parliamentary hearings dedicated to "Military-medical doctrine of Ukraine" on Wednesday, May 20.
The parliamentary hearings are conducted in compliance with respective Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of April 22, 2015.
The Deputy Head of the Verkhovna Rada reminded that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine along with the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine had been urged to elaborate the draft Military-medical doctrine following respective decree of the President of Ukraine No. 880 dated November 14, 2014.
Syroid noted that in fact Ukraine does not have military medicine and added that the Ukrainian Parliament is trying to assist the Government to response to the challenges in this field at the legislative level.
