“Lithuania is a reliable and principled ally of Ukraine. Our states have lots of joint strategic plans for development, in particular, in the field of parliamentary cooperation, and we are ready for their effective implementation,” First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii said at a meeting with delegation of high-ranking officials representing the Armed Forces of the Republic of Lithuania headed by Chief of Defence of the Republic of Lithuania Major General Jonas Vytautas Zukas.
The parties discussed complicated situation in the east of Ukraine, pointed to the necessity for cooperation between the Armed Forces and security services of the two countries, as well as to the importance of information security of a state as one of decisive factors of the victory over propaganda of an aggressor-country.
The delegation of Lithuanian militaries is staying in Kyiv in the frames of the 15th International Week NATO after Wales Summit.
