Under draft law (Reg. No. 2072), on behalf of the Verkhovna Rada the
Accounting Chamber shall exercise control over the flow of funds to the State
Budget of Ukraine and their use. The Accounting Chamber is a collegial state
body, empowered with organizational, functional and financial independence that
independently plans its activity.

The bill determines composition and structure of the Accounting Chamber, legal status of its members and officials of its secretariat, as well as organization of work, order of activity of the Accounting Chamber and its relations with other state bodies.
It is stipulated that the Accounting Chamber shall consist of 15 members, whose term of office will be nine years without the right of reappointment.
Maximum number of employees of the Accounting Chamber shall be 401 persons, of whom 386 employees shall make up the maximum number of Accounting Chamber Secretariat.
