The issue was considered during the meeting of the subcommittee on state policy in the sphere of waste management. Members of the subcommittee took the unanimous decision on the necessity to bring subordinate acts that regulate the issue of receiving licenses in the sphere of hazardous waste management in line with requirements of Ukrainian legislation and European rules (with consideration of requirements of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement).
Following the results of consideration, Committee Chair Mykola Tomenko signed the address to the Head of the Government Arsenii Yatseniuk asking to give the respective instructions to the central bodies of executive power to urgently prepare and adjust the respective amendments to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of July 4, 2001 No. 756 and decree of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine of November 4, 2011 No. 433 in view of bringing them in line with the laws of Ukraine “On licensing certain types of economic activity” and “On Waste”.
