On February 27, First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii met with Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner within the framework of his visit to the USA.
In course of the meeting, the Parties discussed the possibility of weapons supply to Ukraine. Following the results of the meeting, A.Parubii claimed "Boehner assured me that the Congress supports providing Ukraine with defence weapons and will be further doing everything possible for Barack Obama to implement "Ukraine Freedom Support Act". First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that both republicans and democrats agree on this.
Participants of the meeting discussed the following steps, particularly, hearings on Ukraine and possibilities of a new law that obliges President of the USA to immediately provide weapons to Ukraine.
