Secretary of the Committee Ivan Vinnyk said that the Committee
thoroughly worked on all the proposals on amendments and suggests the Budgetary
Committee consider several important changes to the law in the part of national
security and defense. Ivan Vinnyk reminded that the adopted law limited maximum salaries, including for the military men. According to him, military men in fact receive financial support instead of salaries.
Chairperson of the Committee Serhii Pashynskyi specified: “it does not go about the increase in budgetary expenditures, it goes about expenditures within the established budget expenses.”
Ivan Vinnyk informed about another Committee’s proposal to the law – on preventing limitation of pensions for military men, as well as rank and file and commanding officers.
Committee Secretary reported on the proposal for allocating additional UAH 1,1 billion from the State Budget for compensation of percentage to weapon producers supplying it to administrators of budgetary funds against state guarantees.
Ivan Vinnyk said that the State Budget stipulated UAH 6,5 billion for the purchase of new weapons against state guarantees.
The Committee proposes also consider the possibility of reallocation of funds between the budgetary programmes for the defense and security bodies within total funding allocated to the chief administrator.
The Committee will refer its proposals to the Committee on Budget to consider them in the course of preparation of the bill for the second reading.
