Members of the Committee took the decisions to initiate parliamentary hearings “Strategy of cultural and informational development of the state: inter-regional dialogue” and to set up the “Inter-Regional Cultural Initiative” Public council at the Committee.
The people’s deputies met with artists, scientists, cultural workers,
and discussed the problems of art and the role of modern culture as an
important ideological factor in the societal life. It went about
decentralization of cultural policy and social protection of cultural workers. Members of the Committee paid a visit to the School of Arts, Culture Center “Molodizhnyi”, A.I.Kuindzhi Art Museum in Mariupol, and the exhibition hall of the Modern Arts Center.
Chairperson of the Committee Mykola Kniazhytskyi; First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee Iryna Podoliak; Deputy Chairperson of the Committee, Chairperson of the subcommittee on freedom of consciousness and religious organizations Viktor Yelenskyi; and Chairperson of the subcommittee on conservation of historical-cultural heritage Serhii Taruta were in attendance at the meeting.
