It is planned that the President of Ukraine, Chairperson of the Verkhovna
Rada, Prime Minister, leaders of parliamentary deputy factions, representatives
of the Committee, members of the Cabinet of Ministers responsible for formation
and implementation of state policy in the spheres of local self-government and
state building, chairpersons of oblast councils and leadership of the
All-Ukrainian associations of local self-government will participate in the
meeting.

The Committee upheld the necessity of urgent establishment of the Interim Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on preparation of the bill on amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine in the part of reforming local self-government.
The abovementioned proposals were brought to notice of Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman. It was mentioned however that amending the Main Law of Ukraine should be the first step on the way to carrying out a wide-ranging administrative and territorial reform in Ukraine with further elaboration and adoption of several bills on decentralization of public authority and its territorial organization.
