The bill (Reg. No. 2336a) suggests determine the order of conversion of garden cottages and country houses into residential dwellings; specify the notion of “place of residence of natural person”; and adjust provisions of the Land Code regarding construction of country houses on recreational land plots, etc.
Particularly, the bill stipulates supplement Housing Code with article
8-1 “Conversion of garden cottages and country houses into residential dwellings” and amend
the Civil Code and the Law “On Freedom of Movement and Free Choice of the Place
of Residence in Ukraine”.
Committee members upheld the bill, adoption of which will allow adjust legislative notions and procedures in housing and civil legislation concerning residence, and will establish proper conditions for implementation of the citizens’ right to free choice of the place of residence.
