A roundtable on the formation of Ukrainian identity during the war was held in the Verkhovna Rada
On July 31, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine hosted a roundtable discussion on "Formation of Ukrainian Identity during the War". The event was attended by MPs, military officers, mothers of fallen heroes, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Family, Youth and Unity, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, the educational community, churches, chaplains, higher education, academics, veterans, public figures, youth and volunteers.
Three sessions were held during the event:
general - on the implementation of state policy in the field of education, spirituality and defense;
panel discussion "National and Patriotic Education": school, army and community as a single system;
panel discussion "Spiritual and moral education": how faith, family and the Church shape the resilience and dignity of young people.
Among the key results of the discussion:
Implementation of the provisions of the Law "On the Basic Principles of State Policy in the Field of Strengthening Ukrainian National and Civil Identity" as a human security tool;
the need to introduce a course on identity into curricula;
developing models of cooperation between the Armed Forces, churches, universities, schools and the public sector;
initiating the creation of coordination councils and working groups on the ground;
creating a roadmap for action: meetings with the military, chaplaincy services, thematic camps, educational trainings, and public lectures.
We are the bearers of identity. Building a strong, moral and resilient Ukrainian nation is our common task.
