Members of the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy are are on a visit to the Czech Republic to meet with members of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group with Ukraine, representatives of the relevant agricultural committee of the Parliament of the Czech Republic and other authorities of the Czech Republic in order to deepen and develop the existing cooperation between the Parliament of the Czech Republic and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
In particular, on 24 July, during the visit, the Chairman of the Committee Oleksandr Haidu, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee Oleh Meidych and the Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Development of Basic Industries in the Agro-Industrial Complex Margarita Šol met with Minister-Counsellor Vitaliy Usatyi and other representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Czech Republic.
They discussed the development of trade and economic relationships between Ukraine and the Czech Republic, attracting investments in strategic sectors and implementing joint projects in the agricultural sector, including innovations, logistics and processing of agricultural products.
The Chair of the Committee, Oleksandr Haidu, noted that on July 15, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law of Ukraine «On Ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Czech Republic on the Conditions for the Location of Diplomatic Missions of Ukraine in the Czech Republic and the Czech Republic in Ukraineі». The adoption of this act will allow to settle the issue of the location of diplomatic missions of Ukraine and the Czech Republic, as well as to promote further development and strengthening of Ukrainian-Czech relations based on the principles of reciprocity and parity.
The members of the Committee agreed with their Czech colleagues to maintain a dialogue and work to create conditions for more active cooperation between Ukrainian and Czech businesses and to constructively develop the Ukrainian-Czech partnership.
