On July 2, a meeting was held remotely via videoconference between Chairman of the Committee Oleksandr Merezhko and members of the Committee, and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the French Republic Bruno Fuchs along with members of the Committee.
The meeting was attended by Members of Parliament, Subcommittee Chairs Maryana Bezuhla and Mariia Ionova, as well as Committee member Iryna Herashchenko.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the current security situation in Ukraine, particularly along the contact line, the humanitarian situation in Ukraine and prisoner exchanges, prospects for peace negotiations, provision of economic and military-technical assistance by partner countries, and the implementation of reforms in our country, including anti-corruption measures.
Ukrainian and French parliamentarians paid special attention to the discussion of Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
Committee Chairman Oleksandr Merezhko urged his French colleagues to continue supporting the increase of economic and military-technical assistance to Ukraine.
