On 13 May 2025, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation Oleksandr Merezhko met with a delegation of analysts from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. The meeting was also attended by the Chairwoman of the Committee's Subcommittee Mariana Bezuhla.
The parties discussed current trends in world politics and security, the security and humanitarian situation in Ukraine, prospects for a ceasefire and further peaceful settlement in Ukraine, financial, economic and military-technical assistance to Ukraine from the United States and European countries, as well as Ukrainian-American relations, in particular the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United States of America on the establishment of the U.S.-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund.
Special attention was paid to the discussion of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration and the prospects for Ukraine's membership in NATO.
The Committee Chairman Oleksandr Merezhko expressed his gratitude to the Foundation's representatives for their support and stressed the importance of Ukraine's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance.
