The Verkhovna Rada has ratified the Grant Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the French Republic on providing financial assistance to our country to restore and maintain critical infrastructure and priority sectors of the economy.
This was announced by Oleksandr Merezhko, the MP, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation.
“This agreement states that financial assistance will be provided in the form of grants from the French Treasury at the request of the Ukrainian government. Our Cabinet of Ministers will then use these resources to restore certain areas of economic activity. In particular, it is critical infrastructure in such areas as energy, agriculture, including demining, digital technologies, etc.”, the parliamentarian informed.
It is worth reminding that the €200 million grant agreement between the Government of the French Republic and the Government of Ukraine was signed on 7 June in Paris during the visit of the President Volodymyr Zelenskyi to France.
