On 31 July, the Committee on State Building, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning held a Forum of Prykarpattia Communities on "Reforms. Decentralisation. European integration".
During the event, the following issues were discussed:
- the current state of the decentralisation reform and the legislative vector of its further development, directions for further improvement of the legislative framework for local self-government bodies;
- organisation of local public authorities in the transition period, prerequisites for the restoration of local self-government and the transition from military to multi-level civilian governance;
- implementation of a system of ensuring legality in the activities of local self-government bodies;
- peculiarities of Ukraine's European integration and adaptation of national legislation to the law of the European Union;
- international territorial cooperation of Ukrainian communities, including the current state and new opportunities for local governments to cooperate with European communities, including by attracting funds from European funds through the INTERREG Europe programme.
