Despite the missile attacks by russia, the harvest continues in Ukraine, the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy reports.
Thus, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, farmers in twenty-one regions are harvesting early grain crops. Soybean harvesting has started in Dnipro region.
A total of 1,154.3 thousand hectares of grains and oilseeds have been threshed, with 3.7 million tonnes of new crops harvested. In particular:
wheat - 482.2 thou hectares were threshed, harvested 1.62 million tonnes
barley - 402.7 thousand hectares were threshed, harvested 1.56 million tonnes;
peas - 82 thou hectares harvested, 166.4 thou tonnes harvested;
rapeseed - 186.9 thou hectares harvested, 285.9 thou tonnes harvested;
soybeans - 0.2 thou hectares harvested, 0.3 thou tonnes harvested.
The following regions are the leaders in grain harvesting:
Mykolaiv region, where 314.2 thou hectares were harvested, Odesa region, where 205.1 thou hectares were harvested, and Dnipro region, where 158.2 thou hectares were harvested.
Ivano-Frankivsk region is the leader in terms of yield, with 67.5 centners per hectare.
Also, according to the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, farmers in the region started harvesting on 2 July, a week and a half earlier than last year, harvesting winter rapeseed and barley. In particular, winter rapeseed has been harvested from 0.3 thou hectares (1% of the forecasted area), with 0.9 thou tonnes of seeds harvested. Yields reached 30 centners per hectare. At the same time, barley was harvested from 0.1 thou hectares (1% of the forecasted area), with 0.37 thou tonnes of grain harvested. The yield is 37 centners per hectare.
In total, according to preliminary data, 57.2 thou hectares of rapeseed and 256 thou hectares of early grains and legumes are planned for harvesting, including
winter and spring wheat - 199.2 thou hectares
winter and spring barley - 18.7 thou hectares
rye - 8.9 thou hectares;
oats - 23.2 thou hectares;
peas - 6 thou hectares.
