Despite the missile attacks and terrorist shelling by russia, agrarians work every day to ensure food security, the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy reports.
Thus, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, farmers in all regions are harvesting early grain. In the Kherson region, they have already started harvesting millet, which has been threshed on 50 hectares and 50 tonnes of seeds have been harvested. All regions have started harvesting rapeseed.
In total, 2,781.25 thousand hectares of grains and oilseeds have been threshed, and 9.5 million tonnes of new crops have been harvested. In particular:
wheat – 1,508.9 thousand hectares were threshed, 5.7 million tonnes were harvested
barley – 642.3 thousand hectares were threshed, with a harvest of 2.4 million tonnes
peas – 127.3 thou hectares harvested, 260.9 thou tonnes harvested;
rapeseed – 499.6 thou hectares were harvested, with a total of 1,085.2 thou tonnes of seeds harvested;
soybeans – 0.2 thou hectares harvested, 0.3 thou tonnes harvested.
The following regions are the leaders in grain harvesting: Mykolaiv region, where 484.1 thou hectares were harvested, Odesa region, where 464.5 thou hectares were harvested, and Dnipro region, where 319.4 thou hectares were harvested.
Ivano-Frankivsk region is the leader in terms of yield, with 66.6 centners per hectare.
