Ukraine hopes that the European Commission's new package of sanctions against russia will include liquefied natural gas, and that attention will be paid to the fight against the so-called russian shadow fleet and the circumvention of the restrictions imposed.
This was stated by Yevheniia Kravchuk, the Deputy Chairwoman of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, the member of the Permanent Delegation to PACE.
“The aggressor country circumvents the restrictions on the price of russian oil by using ships from countries that do not support the sanctions policy. russia also buys up old tankers, often transporting oil, some of which is not of russian production, and accordingly, the documents indicate that all oil products are unauthorized. Combating these schemes is very important,” the MP emphasized.
She added that another topical area of work is the fight against European companies operating in third countries and continuing to maintain economic ties with russia.
