Today, on 16 April, a delegation of the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy met with representatives of the Parliamentary Group of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia on cooperation with the Parliament of Ukraine in Skopje, North Macedonia.
The participants of the meeting discussed the issues of strengthening communication between the parliamentarians of Ukraine and the Republic of North Macedonia in order to prepare for the implementation of the common European agricultural policy, implementation of the European Union legislation into the domestic legislation of the candidate countries for accession to the European Union.
During the event, the colleagues of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia shared their experience of the procedure of the candidate country for accession to the European Union, the process of legislative approximation and EU requirements, the established Payment Agency for the use of the EU fund to support farming, etc.
Representatives of the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation noted that Ukraine has chosen to join the European Union and is seeking to become a full member. An important aspect of achieving this goal is an ongoing bilateral dialogue with countries that are on the way to joining the European Community. We expressed gratitude to North Macedonia for supporting Ukraine in its confrontation with russia's military aggression.
