On January 17, 2024, the Krym.Realii film crew (a project of Radio Svoboda), while filming a TV story, wearing bulletproof vests with the inscription PRESS, came under artillery fire in the Robotyno area of Zaporizhzhia region.
As a result of the mortar attack, journalist Dmytro Yevchyn received a shrapnel wound to his leg.
The Ukrainian military, together with a cameraman Mykyta Isaiko, provided him with first aid and evacuated him to a stabilization center in a neighboring village, and then transported him to a hospital in Zaporizhzhia. According to doctors, the operation was successful, and Dmytro Yevchyn will remain in intensive care.
