On November 30, 2023, at the end of his visit to the Republic of Lithuania, at the invitation of the Minister of the Environment of the Republic of Lithuania and Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania Simonas Gentvilas, Oleh Bondarenko visited the Ministry of the Environment of the Republic of Lithuania, where he not only joined the Committee's meeting via video conference, but also met with the employees of the Ministry who organised the action of signing the flag of the Republic of Lithuania with wishes of a speedy victory and words of admiration for the courageous people of Ukraine.
They expressed their support for the courageous spirit of the Committee's members and all Ukrainians in the fight against the armed russian aggression, as well as their encouragement not to give up and to prioritise environmental issues in all legislative initiatives in line with the implementation of the EU acquis into Ukrainian legislation.
The flag of the Republic of Lithuania reads: "Stay strong! You are resilient and courageous!", "We stand with you during these challenging times!", as well as the world-famous slogan "Slava Ukraina!".
They also extended a hospitable invitation to the Republic of Lithuania with the hope and expectation of further fruitful cooperation and exchange of experience.
