During the meeting of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Skopje, the Ukrainian delegation and our partners boycotted the speech of russian foreign minister sergei lavrov. In general, representatives of the aggressor country felt serious pressure from Ukraine and our partners.

This was stated by the MP, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, Vice-President of the OSCE PA Mykyta Poturaiev.

"The boycott for russia was absolutely obvious, and the aggressor country cannot add this OSCE meeting to its 'portfolio of victories'. When sergei lavrov first entered the room, many members of the delegations stood up and left. Our delegation was the first to do so and clearly demonstrated that it could not be in the same room with this man," the politician said.

He added that during the meeting, tough statements were made against the representatives of the aggressor country.

At the same time, he stressed that world leaders are interested in the OSCE working effectively.

"The OSCE has very serious expertise in some areas, such as defining clear criteria for free and democratic elections, assessing the preservation and implementation of human rights in a country. In other words, the OSCE has independent institutions that work thanks to independent experts engaged by the Organisation. Therefore, all countries that are members of the OSCE or look up to it agree with the OSCE's conclusions. It is important that these are not the conclusions of national governments, but of independent agencies. And if they speak about any violations in a particular state, they are taken into account," the MP said.

According to him, this is why leading countries are not inclined to the idea of re-establishing the OSCE, as it is a very difficult process. Accordingly, efforts are being made to unblock the work of the Organisation.
