On the occasion of World Health Day, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine held a blood donation campaign for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Members of Parliament of Ukraine, their assistants and employees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine joined the initiative. “In total, more than 80 employees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine donated blood,” the Office of the President reported.
According to Tetiana Nesteriak, the Head of the blood collection, conversion and processing department of the National Military Medical Clinical Centre “Main Military Clinical Hospital”, the event was organised to provide the Main Military Clinical Hospital with blood and its components.
“People responded, and we organised this field campaign. The blood received and collected will be used for the needs of the hospital, treatment of wounded and sick servicemen who defended the borders of our Ukraine in the combat zone,” said the employee of the National Military Medical Clinical Centre “Main Military Clinical Hospital”.
