asserted Dovile Sakaliene, Member of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, during her stay in Borodyanka, Bucha and Irpin as part of the interparliamentary delegation "United for Ukraine" (U4U).
"We have come to form a coalition to resolve the issue of Ukraine's membership in the European Union," said Zygimantas Pavilionis, a member of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. He said the United for Ukraine (U4U) inter-parliamentary network includes about 300 people, 16 of whom are visiting now.
"Our goal is to do everything possible for Europe to defend Ukraine as it defends the Baltic states."
According to the member of the German Bundestag Michael Brand, Ukraine needs to be given a positive signal on the path to European integration, as it protects the whole of Europe.
Andrea Romano, a member of the Italian parliament, said: "What putin has done is a crime against humanity and against European values."
Therefore, the Italian politician is convinced that "the best defense for Ukraine from putin is to invite Ukraine to become a member of the European Union, so that he understands that this should not be the case in Ukraine or anywhere else."
