On May 6, 2022, in Kyiv, the Chairmen of the Foreign Affairs Committees of the Parliaments of Poland, Czech Republic and Ukraine made a joint statement in support of Ukraine following the visit of a delegation of European parliamentarians to Ukraine.

 In a statement, Oleksandr Merezhko, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation, Bogdan Klich, Chairman of the Polish Senate Committee on Foreign and European Affairs, and Marek Zenisek, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Czech Chamber of Deputies.

call on all democratic civilized countries of the world to urgently resolve the issue of providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine with heavy weapons, to assist in carrying out the necessary procedures to properly document Russian war crimes in Ukraine, to provide adequate financial and economic assistance to Ukraine, and process the issue of Ukraine's accession to the EU as soon as possible.
