From the beginning of the military invasion, the aggressor state has consistently violated the norms of international humanitarian law, including the norms of the four Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949 and their additional protocols.
The Committee requested:
?? urgently take all necessary actions to open safe humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians in Ukraine;
?? to demand that the russian federation abide by the agreements and assist in quick, safe, and unimpeded access to humanitarian aid;
?? to influence the russian federation on the need for it to comply with the provisions of the Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949.
