Head of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Oleksandr Merezhko met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Latvia to Ukraine Ilgvars Klava.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current situation in our country, in particular the issue of increasing Russian troops along the border of our state. Particular attention was paid to strengthening bilateral cooperation, development of political and inter-parliamentary dialogue, in particular the development of relations between relevant parliamentary committees.
In this context, the interlocutors discussed the possibility of a possible visit to Ukraine by a delegation of the chairs of the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) foreign affairs committees.
