On December 13, the meeting of the Heads and members of the relevant committees on foreign affairs of the parliaments of Georgia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland and Ukraine was held by video conference. The event was chaired by the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland M. Kuchczynski.

During the online session, representatives of the five profile committees discussed issues of strengthening cooperation in European and Euro-Atlantic integration, security of the Eastern European region, restoring the territorial integrity of the EU's Eastern Partnership countries within internationally recognized border, strengthening political dialogue and strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, in particular intensifying the work of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Parliaments of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, cooperation within international parliamentary organizations, institutionalization of communication at the level of relevant parliamentary committees of Georgia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland and Ukraine.

On the eve of the Sixth Eastern Partnership Summit, the participants paid special attention to the future development of the EU initiative, including priority areas of economy and trade and the implementation of reforms in the member states of the initiative and development of the trio platform within the Eastern Partnership in accordance with the more for more principle.

The Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was represented by: Head of the Committee Oleksandr Merezhko, First Deputy Head of the Committee Hryhoriy Nemyria, Secretary of the Committee Solomiya Bobrovska, Head of the Committee` Subcommittees Olena Khomenko, Andriy Sharaskin and Yelyzaveta Yasko.
